Servomotors

Drives the air and gas dampers that hold combustion ratio across the firing range.

The BC-SM actuator positions air and gas dampers to a signal from the burner controller, holding the air/gas ratio correct as firing rate changes. A mechanical position indicator and adjustable cam or electronic curve let the ratio be set and re-checked at commissioning without guesswork.

Features

  • •Proportional positioning across the full firing range
  • •Visible position indicator
  • •Adjustable mechanical cam or electronic characterisation curve
  • •Manual override for commissioning
  • •Torque suited to damper and butterfly-valve duty

Frequently asked questions

What engineers most often ask when specifying this equipment.

Ionisation probes are simpler and cheaper and work well on stable, well-defined gas flames with a good earth path. UV cells suit larger flames, oil/gas dual-fuel duty and installations where the probe cannot be positioned reliably.
