Frequently asked questions
Common questions from engineers specifying solenoid valves.
An automatic-reset valve reopens as soon as its coil is re-energised. A manual-reset valve stays closed until someone physically operates the reset lever, which is normally required for gas-detection and emergency-shutdown duties so that a plant cannot re-gas unattended.
